Twin Edge

Got back almost all my prelim results today. Did quite well but now I don't know if I should be happy or sad or what to say around everyone else 'cause I feel bad that I've done better than them and am so happy when they're sad. Knn lah. Anyway, ran the 11km route at macritchie today. Damn interesting. It was such a fresh experience I was running at a crazy pace and managed to keep it up all the way. Wish everything in life could be fixed by a good run.

It's only 42 klicks!

I have begun me marathon plan! Bwahahhaha. I need to prove to myself that if I want something bad enough I can earn it whether it was meant to be or not.

Sweetest dream (or maybe not!)

Sigh... had the best dream of my life. And when I woke up in the middle of the night I felt terrible. Do dreams ever come true?

Why does it always rain on me

Played soccer for sports carnival. Beat the first team 1-0, even though they were obviously better than us. They only have themselves to blame lah, their shooting piorities were height, power and - oh, did I mention? - more height. Anyway as the second team walked in they asked the first team "Are they good?" and though I didn't catch the reply, I heard the guy say next, "Then how did you all lose?" LOL. Useless asses.

Sian lah, I really need pomelo leaves and holy water or something to get rid of my bad luck. On Saturday, already tio jacked once AND I missed the bus. Then today, I hit the goalpost from an acute angle. As if that wasn't enough, while Heng Liang and I were fooling around, we banged into one another and now my right shin has a huge bruise. And... wait for it, I got jacked AGAIN! Wth. I think I can bet my life on it already - when it comes to going out with someone I like, nothing can ever go right. Shit, it hurts even more when you realize you've been looking forward to it.

Sigh, I know I shouldn't be possessive and that everyone has a life. Which is exactly why I haven't killed some people yet. Do I qualify for some prize for tolerance and self-control?

First day! You are so lucky on your first day!

=D

Went for scholarship thingy. Disappointing. "Exhibition" consisted of a miniscule number of pathetic booths. Seminar presentations were basically rehashed information you could find on the organizations' websites (eg. "www.educationuk.org.sg") although the Brit guy was really really good. Now you know why London won the Olympics 2012 bid... they had style and humour - absolutely brilliant! Glenn leeched onto me the whole day =( how depressing. He even had the cheek to say "Looks like I managed to shake off Anand."

Anyway, the career guide 2005 I bought for $5 is absolutely brilliant. Quite set on finance now. [Dolly accent]So exciting![/Dolly accent] LOL.

Big Mosquito

Long time no see arh! Hah! Obviously I can't remember anything that happened too long ago, so I'll just blog about more recent stuff, starting from say, Monday?

Monday was a nice day. Forgot what I did after school - oh dear. I knew I stayed back for something... Ah crap probably basketball lah. Cannot remember liao. Most schooldays just seem to pass by in a blur. [Edit: Remembered liao, watched the Island with Brady and Jian. Scarlet Johansson is damn bloody hot and sexy man.... arrrrrgh!!]

Anyway, yesterday (Tuesday) was quite fun. She walked with me for a bit in the morning to civics so my day was effectively -made-. Thank you, the powers-that-be. I know not to read too much into this kind of thing though, since it was probably for reasons of convenience. The VCR was *still* spoilt so we Kadir just told us various nonsense soccer stories and tried to teach us about sportsmanship. Lessons were boring as usual (slept through all the lectures, again, as usual) until PE. PE is now effectively free periods, so I went to play floorball with a few of the other J2s. Somehow we ended up playing canoeists vs. non-canoeists.

Being super tyco, we stormed to a 9-0 lead and the score eventually ended up ard like 15+++ to 5. Unfortunately, this asshole by the name of Gerald Lui (if misspelt, not at all sorry) decided to take offence to the fact that I was able to dribble past him repeatedly and tried to hack off my legs by swinging his floorball stick wildly with one arm. He probably did so also because having decided that the floorball was too challenging, tried to hit a larger target like say, me. Funnily enough, when he wasn't dropping the floorball stick after another of his wild swings, he was surprisingly accurate at bashing my right shin and eventually cut it wide open, the fucker. Having had sportsmanship lessons, I decided to be nice and tried to talk to him but his excuse was "Then stop shielding the ball with your body lah." Then what the fuck do you expect me to do, fucker? Pass the ball to you arh? This cheebye even tried to push the blame to me, saying "You also whack my teammates what." I may have put in a few mistimed blocks, but I always apologized if I banged into someone and certainly did not go around hacking at people with my floorball stick. I certainly hopes he learns to control his nasty temper, for the next time he finds me, I may just accidentally lose all psychomotor skills and ram the stick into his face (which certainly could use some rearranging).

After this most unpleasant and nasty (if victorious) episode, I joined Lao Jian and the rest for some basketball, and then Ben Woon and Ming Yong for some badminton. Finally, joined some 1C and 6F people to play soccer. Unfortunately, my left shoe decided to give way completely so I ended up playing barefoot and burned both my soles to a crisp. Ouch! My shower later in the evening was certainly not fun.

Today's PE was most shitty. Having heard some rumour that there was just going to be a survey, I thought I would go, fill it up, and then join 1C for soccer at the semi-D. Unfortunately, the PE teachers took the opportunity to con us into some nutrition talk, which was utterly useless and merely demonstrated their horrendous grasp of English. By the time we were released (10 minutes late), the soccer game was over =(. Did a bit of basketball shooting before joining Leonard in the library to check out foreign university materials.

After so long, I've finally decided to do Finance, and after much consideration, at Wharton (UPenn) or SMU. Depending obviously on results and financing. There was a talk by some UK professor on writing a personal statement at 2.30++, which was absolutely hilarious, and I would certainly have stayed awake even if I wasn't taking down notes for Margie. After the talk, we met up with Chin in the canteen and just sat around and talked cock until Hong Wenxian came running up, clearly in distress.

"Free food!"
"What?"
"Relativity lecture just ended. They got everyone to pay $4 for catered food, but there's too much!"
"We're on our way!"

Food Disposal Units Chin and Loh were immediately deployed.

P.S. Glenn is seriously pissing me off. I wish there was a way to get across to him clearly without offending him too much that I don't want him following me around all the time.

P.P.S. Ridiculously irrelevant title is because this sneaky mosquito has been biting me repeatedly while I've been at the computer tonight.

Nothing much

Just want to say that I love Nic! As a friend of course. My best girl friend. Hahahaha. =P Sheesh, what were you thinking.
